The future of building is here…
With the urgent need for carbon neutral energy efficient homes, it’s time to start designing and building responsibly. One of the most environmentally responsible building systems on the market is SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels).
This eco-friendly method of construction is the next generation of timber based building systems. Not only do SIPs use up to 60% less timber than traditional methods, they are also up to seven times stronger than brick and block buildings.
Homes built using the SIPs system are extremely air tight, resulting in a huge reduction in the amount of energy used to heat or cool your room by up to 50%. This means lower energy consumption and CO2 emissions, and a considerably reduced energy bill.
So, what are SIPs?
Creating advanced insulation & building solutions for a net zero future, Kingspan technology has led the industry in thermal-efficiency, fire safety and lifetime durability for 50 years. Compared to traditional insulation and construction methods, the SIPs high-performance building system is fabricated off site, to fit the design of the building with precision.
Each panel consists of a fully recyclable, fibre-free, insulating foam core, sandwiched between two OSB structural facings made from renewable trees, sourced from certified sustainable forests. This method ultimately achieves a 90% reduction in site waste as well.
The inherent nature of the system is exceptionally strong, air tight and up to 60% quicker to build with the EPS insulation being zero-rated for ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) and GWP (Global Warming Potential) making them the sustainable choice for self-builders and construction companies across the globe.
Building your home with the energy efficient SIPs Panel system will keep you warm in the winter, cool in the summer, whilst saving you money on energy bills.
